The Government Industrial Training Institute was Started in 1958 and has been growing with the credit of the First Institute with ISO Certification in Southern Districts.

Honourable Former Indian President Thiru.R.Venkatraman had visited this institute and engraved his admiration about the services of this Institution in the Visitor's Book.

Situated in 13.5 Acres of Land with a good ambience for training,is surrounded by various Industries with well furnished hostel for nearly 80 boys.

Every year Thousands Of trainees in eight trades,affiliated by the Director General Of Employment and Training,Government of India and hundreds of trainees in Knitting and sewing trade affiliated by Commissioner Of Employment and trainning, Government of Tamil Nadu.
